Week 7

Bryan snapped this picture while Brick and I took a stroll down the beach. Bryan never picks up the camera without being encouraged to do so, but I'm glad he did 'cause I love this shot.

This was not how I intended this picture to look. If I'd given it more thought, I would have actually used my tripod, or at the very least made sure I picked a chair that was tall enough to include my whole face in the frame. But I didn't. Week 5

There wasn't a whole lot of time or thought that went into this shot. The sun was setting, he was fidgety, but I so loved getting even just a few minutes with to play with him.

Week 3

I'm really enjoying this challenge. For starters, I take about 10-20 pictures for every one I share. And of those, I save more than a handful. I honestly think that in the past 2 weeks, I have quadrupled the total number of pictures with me and the kids in them. This one's special to me on so many levels.

Week 1.2

So, I felt moderately guilty for taking a picture with only Calla and not including Brick in at least the first week of this challenge. I finally broke down and bought a remote. My, does that make self portraits a heck of a lot easier. Brick and I had loads of fun trying to get this image.

Week 1

A photography board I belong to has initiated a challenge. The idea is to make conscious effort to get in front of the camera. Each week, I will attempt to post a self portrait of me with at least one of the kids. Here's the first installment:
