Big News!

Our family is growing again! We've been trying to spread the news, but it's so hard to catch up. I'm almost 12 weeks pregnant, due in December. Here are some of the answers to the most popular questions we've been asked so far:

• Yes, we are very excited.


• No, we don't know the sex yet, but we will be finding out as soon as we can (sometime in August).


• No, we don't have a preference. We'd be happy with either a boy or a girl.


• No, we have not decided on any names yet.

Not getting any brighter...

Some of your may remember a post I wrote a couple of months ago about the not-so-intelligent species of birds we have here in Texas. Well, it's happened again. After hearing a loud clunk, this was the sight in our backyard:



I'd never really given much thought to the Windex commercials where the birds zoom into large glass windows. Maybe we need to ease up on the Windex for the sake of the birds. This incident also got me wondering if we're the only neighbors in the area with this problem.

15 Months

One year ago, the little guy was just 3 months old. It's amazing how much he's grown since then.

We headed to Virginia this past weekend to celebrate Bryan's sister Amy's graduation from the University of Virginia. We had a fun and eventful weekend full of events to commemorate the big day.

The graduates all walk out onto the lawn from the Rotunda. I unfortunately didn't capture a picture of Amy walking down the stairs, but we were lucky enough to see her!

Figuring It Out

On of Brick's favorite things to do is to take things apart and figure out how to put them back together. He's particularly fond of lids and caps, but can't always figure out how to twist them off.
