So, we took a little family trip to Austin last week to look for a house in our new hometown. Brick was amazingly well behaved. I'm so thankful to have such a fantastic baby. He took all flights like a champ, in spite of the fact that he has been coughing, wheezing and congested for a the past few days. We spent about 4 hours a day with the realtor bopping from house to house, which meant Brick was in and out of the carseat constantly, and he didn't whine or complain once.

We found a great house in an amazing neighborhood and decided to put in an offer. We were a bit intimidated since we haven't had much movement on our Raleigh home yet. We tried to negotiate $5000 less than the asking price plus a November closing. The sellers were somewhat unreceptive. We ended up leaving Austin unable to reach a happy medium.

After thinking it over, we decided to give our realtor a call, and give the negotiations another shot. Ironically, the sellers must have had the same inclination because our agent had an email from their agent in her inbox. Long story short, we're now under contract, closing November 1st.

Now, we're under the gun to sell our Raleigh home, we've had quite a few showings in the past week, but no offers yet. We're hosting another Open House this weekend, hoping to generate some buzz.
